COOKING YOUR CHRISTMAS PUDDING
My traditional Christmas pudding has been cooked already and only requires gentle reheating. To ensure that your Christmas pudding tastes its best I recommend heating by steaming, but you can also use a microwave for convenience.
Remove outer packing. Leave basin with film lid on. Place basin in a steamer over boiling water and steam.
100g: 30 minutes
454g: 1 hour
Ensure that water does not enter the Christmas pudding. Do not allow the steamer to boil dry.
This is a guideline only. I suggest you consult your instruction manual. Remove outer packing. Pierce film lid and place in microwave on a microwaveable plate. Heat on full power.
100g: 750W/Cat D 50 seconds or 850W/Cat E 40 seconds
454g: 750W/Cat D 3 minutes or 850W/Cat E 3 minutes
Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.
